Why I wrote a childrens book
For me the beauty of books is that they are completely absorbing. In a world where we have so many distractions it’s vital to take some time out from the noise. When you get swept up in a story, you are transported to another place, alongside the characters that you grow to know, feeling what they are feeling. As a young child I remember cradling a well-loved tattered book, The Folk of the Faraway Tree by Enid Blyton, running my fingers across its sweet page’s night after night. I think it’s so important that we encourage children to use their imaginations, so I wanted my book to encourage this and spark a sense of adventure. Equally, We connect with our children on another level when engrossed in children stories enjoyed both by adults and little ones alike. My passion for writing for children, the joy in delivering a book that moves them, makes them laugh and hopefully the one they fall in love with; this is my true motivation.
